Scott Friel has spent more than a decade in the insurance industry, building a book of over 100 active clients across every line of coverage. From small startups in St. George to established operations along the Wasatch Front, Scott has seen — and solved — just about every insurance challenge a Utah business can face.

Before insurance, Scott played basketball at BYU-Hawaii, where he learned the importance of preparation, consistency, and never taking a play off. Those habits translated directly into how he serves clients: thorough coverage reviews, proactive risk assessments, and a refusal to let anything slip through the cracks.

As a co-founder of Canyon Insurance, Scott helped build the agency on a simple premise — that an independent agent who shops 30+ carriers will always outperform a captive agent locked into one company. His clients benefit from that competitive approach every single renewal.
